In the event of injury or illness, pupils are directed to the office; the situation is assessed by a first aider and dealt with accordingly. Parents are called to collect pupils if deemed necessary. If a head injury of any kind is reported an advice note will be sent home with the pupil. If the supervising adult deems the injury or illness to be serious emergency services will be called and parents informed.
Mrs Donnelly is the Designated Safeguarding Lead
All other staff have completed basic child protection awareness training.
IN THE EVENT OF FIRE
Fire drills are held every term so that all staff and children are aware of procedures for evacuation. The Fire alarm is denoted by a continuous ringing bell when activated. When the fire alarm sounds classes are evacuated to the playground and senior staff follow checking procedures.
